LA Vegan Eats

As an avid foodie, picky eater, and avocado lover, I have eaten more than my fair share of avocado toast.  From my kitchen to international restaurants, I am always on the search for a great avocado toast. Something about it just makes me order it nearly every time I eat somewhere. Here are some of my favorites in the DC area.

Where I ate

  • Cha Cha Matcha

  • Sunlife Organics

  • Erewhon

  • Tocaya Organica

  • Butcher's Daughter

  • Gracias Madre

  • Malibu Farm

  • Main Squeeze

Erewhon

I had dreamed about going to Erewhon since I first heard about it and seeing all the vegan (expensive) options was overwhelming and amazing. From The Coconut Cult probiotic ice cream to the hot bar... I never wanted to leave. I didn't take pictures of everything I ate but really I don't see how you can go wrong.

Cha Cha Matcha

I've honestly never liked matcha that much, but had taste the hype of this place for myself. I got a hot matcha chai with oat milk and it was honestly good. The vegan banana bread I got was amazing and tasted like a coffee cake. I also really wanted to try their limited addition froyo, but never made it back.

Tocaya Organica

A healthy Mexican restaurant with lots of vegan options is what DC is missing and I fully realized this by tasting how amazing Tocaya was. The plantain chips are amazing and the pomegranate seeds on the guac was a combo I didn't know I need. I really appreciate that you can make avocado a protein since most places only offer "Impossible meat" (which I support but don't eat) or make you pay extra. I got that for my vegan burrito and quesadillas with vegan cheese and they were so good.

Butcher's Daughter

I..

Gracias Madre

Another healthy, vegan - friendly Mexican restaurant I miss already. I didn't take a picture, but I got the "Tres bowl" and guac and chips.
